What to expect during IV Vitamin & Hydration Treatment
- Appointments for IV hydration treatment will take at least 60 minutes – sometimes longer. After the IV treatment has started, you can kick back and relax. High speed internet is provided so that you can watch a show on Netflix or Hulu, catch up on emails, scroll through social media. The comfortable lounge chairs are perfect for reading a book, listening to music, taking a nap or just relaxing. You can bring your own blanket if you wish.
- During the IV hydration therapy, you may experience stiffness, coldness, pressure or tingling in the fingertips, arm and, sometimes, into the chest. It is also possible that you may taste the vitamins – metallic taste. These are all normal and expected reactions. They will resolve after the IV infusion is finished.
- Make sure to wear comfortable clothing. A short-sleeved shirt or, if long sleeved, one that can be easily rolled up.
- It usually takes 1-3 hours to start feeling the effects of the IV hydration therapy. The benefits can last anywhere from 1-3 weeks. The frequency of IV hydration therapy is determined on a personal basis. For preventative health and wellness, two IV drips per month is useful in balancing vitamin deficiencies and most IV treatments are not recommended more than 2 times per month because of the highly concentrated doses provided.
